2. Scope

These terms apply to every order placed on ekkeltree.com. You can save or print them. On request, we'll email them to you.

3. Offer and prices

All prices are in euros and include VAT. You'll see the delivery charge in your basket before you check out. Our product photos are taken with care, but colours may look slightly different on your screen. An obvious mistake in a price or description does not bind us.

4. Ordering and payment

The contract of sale is formed as soon as you complete your order. You'll receive a confirmation by email straight away. You pay in advance using one of the payment methods shown at checkout. If an item turns out to be unavailable, we'll let you know as soon as possible and refund you within 14 days.

5. Delivery

We deliver to the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and the other countries of the European Union to which we offer delivery at checkout. Delivery times and charges are set out in our shipping policy. If we can't deliver within 30 days, you may cancel your order free of charge. The risk of loss or damage only passes to you once the parcel has been delivered to you.

6. Cooling-off period and returns

You have 14 days to change your mind. How this works, what it costs and how you're refunded is explained in our returns policy, which also contains the model cancellation form.

7. Guarantee and conformity

Our products conform to the contract and are fit for normal use. This is your statutory right. If a product is not as it should be, we'll repair or replace it, or give you a refund. Any guarantee from the manufacturer is in addition to this, never instead of it.

8. Complaints

Email complaints to info@ekkeltree.com, ideally with your order number and a photo. We'll reply within 2 working days and work with you to find a solution. If we can't resolve it together, you may go to the competent court.

9. Safe use and liability

Please follow the instructions for use and the safety warnings on the product and on the product page, especially for candles and reed diffusers. We are not liable for damage caused by use contrary to them. Your statutory rights always apply.

10. Privacy

We use your details only to process your order and, if you wish, to send you our newsletter. Read more in our privacy policy.

11. Assignment

We may only transfer our rights and obligations under the contract to another party if this does not reduce your rights. You may not transfer the contract to someone else without our consent.

12. Governing law

Every order is governed by Dutch law. If you live in another country of the European Union, you keep the protection given to you by the mandatory consumer law of your country. Disputes are brought before the competent court in the Netherlands, unless the law gives you the right to go to the court in your own country.
